Ensemble Artifices 

Alice Julien-Laferrière, direction et violins 

The Ensemble Artifices of violinist Alice Julien-Laferrière proposes a concert entirely dedicated to a formidable musician of the seventeenth century who is still too little known: Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, who wrote some his best works for the violin. In his virtuoso and inspired hands, it has become a sacred instrument, capable of evoking the great mysteries of the Bible without any words... His music promises moments of suspended meditation as spectacular overloads of creative energy.

Concert preceded by a commented rehearsal from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, presented by Alice Julien-Laferrière.

And by a conference at 6:00 PM: “The German Violin School in the 17th century” by Fabien Roussel, musicologist.
